Marriage of the Rev G P Gordon and Jean Grant MacLean

Rev G P Gordon Wedding Notice from the "Strathspey Herald" July 5 1930

Great interest was taken in the marriage on Thursday ofRev. G. P. Gordon (formerly of Carr-Bridge United Free Church and now of St Paul's, Aberdeen) and Miss Jean Grant McLean, daughter of Mr and Mrs McLean, Glencharnoch. The marriage was celebrated in the church at Carr-Bridge, the officiating clergymen being Rev. P. McGregor and Rev. Mr McRae. Late of Carr-Bridge and now of Millport East). Rev. J. Campbell, Dundee and late of Croy, acted as groomsman and the brides-maids were Miss Sheena Grierson, Altyre, and Miss Madge Mackenzie. Miss Robertson was and attendant and Master Grant McLean, Balnaan, a page. The after reception in the Carrbridge Hotel was attended by over 100 guests. The usual toasts were honoured, and many complimentary but well-deserved things were said of the happy couple. A large number of marriage presents were received, including a gift to Miss McLean from the united choir of the church at Carr-Bridge.
